Editorial Methodology

SaaSProven helps readers compare software. This page explains how we research products, what we look at, and how we describe the evidence behind each article.

How we research software

Research methods differ by article. Depending on the topic, we may use official product documentation, pricing pages, public demos, help centers, release notes and other publicly available information. Each article states what it is based on.

Hands-on testing

We describe a product as tested only when hands-on testing actually took place, and we say what was tested and how. Where an article relies on documentation and public information rather than our own testing, it says so.

What we evaluate

  • Features and how well they fit specific use cases
  • Pricing, plan limits, free plans and trials
  • Ease of use and onboarding
  • Integrations
  • Limitations and trade-offs
  • Who each product is best suited to

Checking pricing and features

Pricing and features change often. We check them against the vendor’s official sources at the time of writing and note the billing basis and currency where we can. Always confirm current details with the vendor before you buy.

Updates and corrections

We update articles when we learn something has changed, and we only change an article’s updated date when the content has genuinely been revised. To report an error, contact us.
